About us

MAMTA Health Institute for Mother and Child (MAMTA-HIMC) is a registered organization under Society Registration Act-1860. The organization was founded on 28th December 1990 and at present it has expanded to 14 states and one Union Territory across India, and in Bangladesh, and Nepal.It is a pioneering organization working in the area of Adolescent Reproductive and Sexual Health and Rights (ARSHR), Maternal and Child Health (MCH), and HIV & AIDS, and rights. Twenty years since its inception MAMTA has grown into an established institute for program implementation, advocacy, training and research; and acts as a think tank at various national and international levels. As an organization, MAMTA is committed to integrating health and development issues in the context of poverty, gender and rights with life cycle approach.

MAMTA has young and dynamic professionals with diverse medical and social sciences background working for the mission of empowering the underserved and marginalized individuals and communities through gender sensitive participatory processes, for achieving sustainable health and development.
