Students often ask me what is Love? I don’t know how to answer it.

First, we want to let you know that this is a very common question asked by all ages. Also it certainly does not have a definite answer and giving your student an answer that will make them understand is challenging. There is no "single" definition of love that is accepted by everybody. Being in love with someone involves feelings of romance, attraction, caring, etc. While explaining about love you also need to discuss about how it differs from having sex. It is very important to convey the message that having sex is an event or physical act. People may be in love but may not have sex as they do not feel for it or they are not ready for it. On the other hand some people may have sex without being in love with each other. Being in love does not put anyone under pressure to have sex. A girl or a boy need not have sex to prove their love for their partner.
